For those who have not read the novel yet, an English translation (either digital or physical) can be purchased here. For those who know Japanese, the original text is under public domain and can be read on Aozora Bunko here, or purchased physically through a wider variety of sources.
The English translation is known to contain glaring inaccuracies. However, there are no alternative translations at this time.
Disclaimer: Though the book handles certain topics in ways that are quite progressive for its time, other details are not handled with as much sensitivity. Be warned for homophobic sentiments and highly offensive framing of the physically disabled.
